I have led the life of a professional student. Physics, Computation, and Biology were my passions. I was also in love with the visual arts. As a child I poured over art books and tried to copy drawings of the masters. I roamed the The Art Institute of Chicago like a feral child. I chose to pursue the Sciences professionally. In graduate school I became fast-friends with a couple of serious art students. This led to hours of drawing from life and late night arguments about art and artists. It was a formative time. I learned to “see”, and how to draw properly. Two years into graduate school, I stumbled into an opportunity to spend a year in Berlin as an exchange student. I bought a Pentax ME Super and  documented that year in Ektachrome and Tri-X. I returned and complete my PhD. The arts went into hibernation as I navigated the joys and stresses of professional and family life. Now I am navigating life 2.0. I am retired. My children are grown. With the freedom of retirement, my passion for the arts returned with a vengeance.  I am currently exploring portrait, fashion, artistic-nude, and fetish photography.
